Spanish Art

Dates

• July program: From July 2nd to July 16th, 2012.
• August program: From August 6th to August 19th, 2012.

Levels
From the intermediate to the advanced level.

Classes
Students will have Spanish language classes (grammar, conversation, reading and writing) 10 hours a week, and also 24 more hours of theoretical and practical classes about Spanish art which will include guided visits to the Salamanca´s most significant historical monuments.

Classes at Letra Hispánica are taught by native Spanish professors with University degrees, Master's, PhD's.., who have many years of experience in teaching foreigners.
The art classes are taught by art graduates and well known artists of prestige.
There is a maximum of 10 students per classroom.

Workshops and Activities outside of class

• Welcome and a Farewell party.
• Photographic tour of Salamanca, visits to museums, galleries and art expositions.
• Contact with Salamanca´s folclore and traditional food: "tarde de tapas".
• An afternoon at the swimmingpool.

One day excursions
The price includes a trip to Madrid with one guided visit to the "Prado" Museum and "Reina Sofía" Art Center.

Accomodation
Students with stay with a family carefully selected by our experts. Single room, three meals per day and laundry.

Students will be able to contact their host family prior to their arrival.

Host families provide students with a healthy mediterranean diet, high in fruits, vegetables, bread and other cereals, potatoes, beans, nuts and seeds, olive oil, dairy products, fish and poultry consumed in low to moderate amounts and little red meat.

Host families also can take care of special health, accomodation and diet needs or preferences. After registration, we provide students with a secure form where they can tell us about these needs and preferences.
The students can ask for a change of family with no need to give reasons.

Acommodation included in the price:

• July program: From july 3rd to july 16th.
• August Program: From august 5th to august 20th.

Transportation
Madrid-airport transfer to student accommodation in Salamanca or viceversa.

Private Bus:

• To and from the airport parking at a fixed schedule operating in day hours. The transport company is not affiliated with Letra Hispánica.
• Price: 43.00 € per passenger.

Bus provided by Letra Hispánica:

• Organized by Letra Hispánica for groups (min. 10 students). Pick up/drop off in the airport arrival/departure areas.
• Free Service for groups (min. 10 students).

Taxi provided by Letra Hispánica:

• Pick up/drop off in the airport arrival/departure areas. Max. 3 passengers per car.
• Price per journey: 95,00 €.

• Airfare and personal expenses.
• For individual students, please add the cost of the transfer from Madrid´s Barajas airport to Salamanca and viceversa.
